Hi guys, I have a Lenovo y530 with a 9500m G 512mb ddr2 and was wondering what core this card uses. GPU-z shows g96m. Is this correct? I've had people tell me it's uses the g98m core. Is there a pdf or something that has all of the specs of the different mobile Nvidias? Does anyone know if it is Mxm? Has anyone upgraded their y530 with something like a 9600m GT (which I'm 98% sure is an option overseas) successfully? Basically I want to know if I have any options to improve the gaming performance of this system (aside from the ViDock2 thingy, which is pretty interesting). I have already Oc'ed the gpu as far as I am comfortable with. My system is tweaked, drivers updated, etc.. what next?

You most likely cannot upgrade the GPU.

I am not too sure about the core stuffs.
But 9500M G is 3rd class graphic card, while 9600M GT, 9500M GS, 9650M GT and so on are 2nd class graphic cards.
So, I think the core might not be the same due to different classes.

Check the link in my sig. The 9500M G is a G96M core and Lenovo's solder their GPUs in, so you won't be able to upgrade your GPU (even though Lenovo offers a better GPU as an option).
