    9500m Gs and direct x 10.1

    Hi,
    Anybody that plays clear sky able to run in dx 10.1 with this card? I'm using nvidia 179.28 drivers. Am I correct in this card support dx 10.1?

    No nvidia cards currently support dx 10.1 I believe. Only Newer ATI cards. 9500M GS def only supports dx 10

    the chipdesign of that 9500gs is identical to the 8600gt. it just supports DX10.0

    apart from that i doubt that card is okay for DX10 because of the lack of performance... Playing S:CS with 8-12 fps might be unfunny...

    alright thanks all, I thought the diffrence between the 8600gt and 9500 gs, was that the 9500 gs had dx 10.1 support.

    Only small differences - 8600M GT 80nm , 9500M GS 65nm - cooler and less power consumption, an improved 8600M GT as it were. I would stick to dx 9 with your card. You will never be able to reach the highest graphics settings in newer games in that mode let alone dx 10 and the differences visually are negligible.
