Are the 9600gt's defective? I keep reading about how the g82 and84 series are bad and then I read ( http://gizmodo.com/5035980/inquirer...8800-9600-and-9800-graphics-card-is-defective) that the newer cards are bad too. Is this true? I don't know how much i trust the inquirer but should I return my Dv5t with 9600gt when I get it?

It's not the end of the world. You will be fine.

It's the National Inquirer. They may be right some of the time, hence the previous faulty chip accusation, but don't expect lightning to strike twice.
Until there's further proof, I'm skeptical. -
who knows, maybe..

The dv5t has a Nvidia 9600M GT, not a 9600 GT. If you have a mobile graphics card you are fine.
