I was wondering if anyone had any information on the performance differences between the iterations of this card? FYI, I'm looking at the MSI GX620 (ddr3) and the NP2096 (ddr2).

    Thanks.

Last time I recall the DDR2 version scored around 4400 points in 3dmark06 while the DDR3 version scored 5200 points.

sounds about right. DDR3 typically performs marginally better then DDR2.

It effectively overclocks the memory, or rather permits the memory to run at higher clocks.

You could manually overclock ddr3 cards to achieve performance levels that dr2 cannot.

    Go with the Gddr3.

Besides, the 2096 is ugly anyways :p
