    Hello fellow Community,
    i have a macbookpro 5.1 (2,66 ghz core2duo, 4gb ram, 9600m gt 512mb gddr3)
and i have the feeling, that my performance isnt good enogh.

I read around the forums, that its playable on medium/high with my system.
And i also saw this clip on yt:
YouTube - Starcraft 2 Beta - Macbook Pro Unibody Part 1

However, when i set my shader above low, the fps drops way below 30 when theres some action and creep on the screen. Even at the start i only get around 40-50 fps, and the whole game feels slightly delayed.
(having terrain, effects&textures: medium; mid post processing, high models, physics low, unit portraits 2d, reflections off).

Right now im playing with low shaders (with the settings listed above) and its pretty solid. (80-110 fps beginning, around 40 average in mid and lategame, rarely below 30).

im playing on win7ultimate(64bit)(bootcamp). newest nvidia drivers (260.99), dx11, bootcamp 3.1 drivers.. systems is totally clean; formated it 2 days ago.

i read about driver issues, but can only manage to make an "lazy install" of 19x.xx driver, because win 7 instantly installs 260.99 after restart, when i uninstall the driver.
right now i have the 195.62 "lazy"-installed but im still far away from playing sc2 on med/high.

Im thankful for any suggestion and sorry for my bad english (i learned it in school)

ps.: all my infos relate to native 1440X900 resolution

    thanks in advance

try to reduce resolution to 1280x800 as then you would be able to play at all medium with good fps.
Other than that you are getting good fps i think so.you can oc 9600m gt as it will add 5 fps or more.

    okay
if my 9600m gt just cant handle more, im absolutely fine with it.
i just thought, that others get way better performance (with equal systems).
I just wanted to point out, that my 9600m gt is the gddr3 version.
Performance should be near the performance of a regular 9500gt.
Is low/med all u can get with it in sc2?
