I noticed this driver (9600m gt pre-release WDDM 1.1 driver) available in my windows update today. How do you tell what Nvidia version it is? I am currently running the 179.48 Beta.

I am pretty sure that the 9600M gt has no windows 7 drivers, however, there are some modified desktop drivers that you can use.

In fact, modifiying the desktop driver so that it will install on your laptop is pretty easy to do. Google mobility modder.
