Hi, I just recently bought a new gaming laptop with a 9800 gts and when I go on some internet site to look if my video card can run some game they told me that my video card have a Directx 9.0c and shader 3.0 but on notebookcheck.net they show this card with Directx 10 and shader 4.0. So I was wondering why ? Is it because I run on Windows xp.

    Thank you

The site is probably saying that you meet a minimum requirement of DX9.0c and shader v3, but your card is DX10 and shader v4 capable.

However, you can only use DX10 on Vista\Win7.
