    Nvidia said that the max temp for the 9800M GT is 109c for any of you that wanted to know, i think the others like the 8800m's and other 9800m's are about the same.

    It'll be downclocking at 97° anyway, or at least it's supposed to.

    At stock clocks, mine maxes at exactly 80°, and @ 600/1500/900 will get to 85°, but no higher.

    My card wont go above 81C while gaming, but I better not jinx it. :rolleyes:

    Mine hits 85 the highest and 86 when my room gets a bit hot.

    have you read the NBR Cooling Central yet?

    that is the threshold temp that will force the system to shutdown.

    My threshold is 110C on my 9800 GS and lately its been hitting 106C WHOA! Might RMA soon.

    I'm sure it has nothing to do with you running it at the GTS clock speeds. Every 9800 GS isn't going to be able to handle the voltage increase.
