    I used the search function and can't seem to find a direct comparison to the two cards, only how one is good and the other is better. Are there any benchmarks comparing to these two cards?

    I'll say both are about the same..however,I believe ati 4850 is better hardware than 9800gts. But, 9800gts got better drivers than 4850s...
