Hey alienware 17 owners . I've searched the web and forums and really haven't found but a couple mentions of 980m. I thought I would start this thread since the 880m isn't even worth talking about . I have a alienware 17 with 770m and was looking to upgrade gpu . Tax return ha ha. Was wondering your guys thoughts on the 980m . Whether it will be on 20 nm . Wether it will fit in the latest 17s . What kind of performance boost compared to latest cards. And when do you think we can expect it . I know none of the questions can be answered with any certainty . Just kind of looking a for everyone's thought on the topic. Thnks

I know the 880m is decently better than my 770m . But not enough for me to spend 800 to a 1000 dollars better .

    980m....you mean 2015 tax return right ?

And 980m will not be $1000

It will be $1500 with current prices spikes, each new GPU lineup for the past 3 years was about 25% more expensive each time, so prepare your self to pay $1 for each CUDA core :)

All info right now on a 980m, it its going to called that, are pure speculation. I rather use my time on more important things.

There is no 980M. The 880M isn't even out yet. There are rumors of an 880MX at the end of this year.
