    XB01 was first shown at the 2008 CES show in USA, and this concept got a lot of feedback and user suggestions. At the 2008 Computex in Taipei, the final vision of the PC-XB01 Xbox 360 modding case was ready for shipping.



    Design Brief

    XBOX360™ is a superb video game console, Lian Li want to make it better, Lian Li designer designed the case around the XBOX 360™ main board, and create XB01 for XBOX 360 ™ owner who wants a XBOX360™ with better cooling performance and works silent.

    Not only works silent and better cooling, it is all aluminum, in metallic finishing.

    Rounded edge, in brushed aluminum with anodized finishing, it can be place up-right or flat-down on the table top. The high quality finishing will fit in most user’s living environment.

    XB01 will help XBOX360 ™ to have better cooling performance, and running silently. User don’t need to worry about over heat problem anymore.



    Silent Performance

    There is a 120mm exhaust fan at the rear of the XB01 to replace the original 2 x 70mm cooling fan, the 120mm fan can move the heat faster in lower speed, and less noise.

    There are sound insulation foam sheet around the DVD drive to reduce the noise.



    Thermal

    XB01 has a 12cm fan, with high airflow but only need to run at 1500RPM, it can cool down XBOX360™ effectively.

    XBOX 360™ DVD drive has been relocated to the side, allow maximum opening to the graphics chip set cooler, also allow for user who wants to change the cooler.

    Hugh aluminum air duct cover the XBOX 360™ cooler, allow the cold air will pass through the cooler to remove the heat.

    There are water tube opening at the rear of the case, allow for user to upgrade to liquid cooling cooler for XBOX 360™.

    I want a box that I can fit my 360 and PC into at the same time.

    EDIT: who needs liquid cooling for an Xbox?

    I think its needed with Unreal engine gamez

    I noticed my x360 gets very hot after playing unreal games for shot periods of time (Gears,Unreal,lost oddessy,...etc)

    While other games.....hours of playing and the box is still cool (Grid)

    So >>> I need water cooling!!!
