A 'lil thing bout GMA 950

hey guys i've heard a lot about gma 950 versing dedicated graphix and other integrated graphix card and it loses. basically some people are saying gma 950 sucks and it just cant handle ANY games. "gma 950 isnt a gaming card and u CAN play some games but that are like low graphix quality" that's wht i heard from some people.

Ikno a gma 950 card is not meant for gaming since it is integrated and event tho it has 256mb shared graphix, it isnt meant for gaming. TRUE!
but as i said be4 there are tweaks, overclocks and some clutches to perform ur graphix card to HIGH PERFORMANCE. when i first bought my laptop it came with a gma 950 and tested my game, crossfire, on windows 7 and my windows 7 crashed since the gameguard wasnt compatible with windows 7. i dualbooted with windows vista home premium and it turned out crossfire worked but ! i mean its average keeps on going up and down from 10fps-60fps.
although it did have some problems i researched of how to get gma 950 to work better. there was a site for gma graphix cards Intel9xx which gave me ful info bout gma 950 and how to improve. i download the modded v1.2 driver where i can control the level of graphix and it was near low graphix and higher battery power. i switched it to near higher graphix and low battery power since i use electricity instead of my battery. GUESS WHAT, my game started working. i used a edited my registry for my graphix card and used a program called gma booster in which i overclocked to 400mhz max and i also got a cooling fan for my laptop so it would reduce overheating. My gma 950 can now play bf2, cod4 modern warfare and modern warfare 2, assassins creed, assassins creed 2, and more games that require 128mb graphix and more. including my game called crossfire works as well.
SO GUESS WHAT IN YOUR FACE!!
GMA 950 has hidden tweaks, overclocks and clutches u can pull up and make it at high performance!!

 

I'll see your GMA 950, raise you a 6, and have a match up with my 9650M GT. How's that sound?

You do realize that graphic card memory should be one of the last things you look at for attempting to estimate a GPU's performance, right?

I'm not arguing that you can overclock your IGP. In fact, more power to you. I'm trying to point out to you that the GMA950, no matter how much it is overclocked, is not a particularly shining example of high performing graphic cards.

 

This seems like a troll. I won't doubt BF2 and Crossfire since that's a crappy Korean game but MW2 seems impossible. My GF7600 Go could barely play CoD4 and that's already levels above a GMA950.

one thing i forgot to add is that my point is GMA 950 doesnt suck
u can upgrade its performance and overclock and tweak its gpu unit and bus speed.
nvidia graphix just PWNS Intel's i mean even if integrated graphix is for geforce or nvidia is designed for gaming and is more powerful than a gma 950.
i would do a benchmark with my gma 950 while u do a benchmark with urs.

x3100 is more meant for gaming and its better than the gma 950 (without the overclocks, tweaks and clutches)
the x3100 doesnt have much tweaks or overclocks

20fps is playable IMO.
But it cant drop below 20.

I played L4D on my X3100 and it was ~20fps average, I finished the game.

Man, I couldn't tolerate playing l4d with an average of 30 fps, kudos to you.

 

I barely got through it, it was not fun at all. I think I will have to play it again with a different GPU.
