A NBR Team Fortress 2 Server.....

I vote for a dustbowl/goldrush rotation...

 

Maybe I should start playing TF2 again...now that I have got a notebook capable of playing... I am no good at it though.

 

i hope they make that command more stable on more systems soon, i tried it and the game was completely unplayable

maybe ill use vista again sometime and try it there

 

Add me to the list! I played TF2 on and off for the past 2 months. I sure wouldn't mind playing with some members of NBR! Perhaps, we can give a new meaning to the word "TeamWork" which most pub servers lacks.

If someone has a spare computer and a decent internet connection with over 1mbps upload speed I don't see why someone could host the server from their home. I set up a small CS:S server a while ago and it is not terribly hard to get set up.

I would do it but my upload speed is way too slow.

 

This actually sounds really fun. I used to play TF2 a lot, but I got busy with school toward the end of the year and then work this summer. I can probably hook us up with a server in Houston if you guys want.

Again, if someone has a good internet connection with a fast upload speed they could host the server from a spare computer or their main computer.

Setting up and running a server is fairly simple and won't use up many resources on your PC.

I've had people from all around the world in those servers, and ping is usually under 200.

 

Well I made an NBR event on steam, based on what coolpapajase said. Though I didn't get the IP just the server name. Any recommendations or suggestions on whos server to use. I have little knowledge in this field. I made it for 9 eastern time.

Not really, its a new server. There'll be space for everyone. It's a 32 slot also, and from what I hear, once you get a group of people in, for ex. 10 people, the server starts filling like wildfire. I have experienced this lol.

 

Are we using yours then instead? I haven't had mine setup yet.

Whatever you guys decide. Did you actually buy a server, because thats a waste of money imo. You can use mine anytime and it's a 32 slot 100tic 1000fps boosted, and runs very well.

Chesieofdarock, since it starts 9 pm eastern, i'm pacific so there's a three hour difference. SO, it should be about 8 eastern right now and so it should begin in an hour or so.

If you guys want a server. You can use mine. It's already been running for a few weeks, it's very smooth, 100tick 1000fps dedicated and all that. I cleary have enough upload bandwidth for a server as shown in my sig, and it runs MANI, so if one of you guys want to admin the server, you can do that as well. If you do choose to use my server, it can be re named to whatever it should be for however long you guys want.


So yoyo1299, if you have any doubts about your server, feel free to use mine, if you want admin in the server, then no problem, but just don't abuse.

 

I really don't care about who's we play on.... I just want one server that we always play on so we can be more organized. Would you be willing to maybe rename your server?

What's your Steam? I'd love to learn some of the console stuff, i don't know the advanced stuff for admin rights stuff.

 

Also, lets not change last minute, but i think we can talk about using yours in the long run.

 

I just said that yea, you can name the server anything you like via the console with sv_hostname "servernamehere" that changes the server's name to whatever you put there.. And make sure to use the quotes too
