Hi everybody,
I am newbbie here...
I just bought an HP dv8000 with a geforce go 7600 256mb
My only gaming experience so far is PES6 on 1440*900 with the new evolution patch, everything maxed and it plays really good.
When I play though (also when I scroll in the internet), there is this ghost effect and I wondering if there is some kind of solution to that...
Thank you in advance for your response...

Nope, ghosting occurs when the LCD's refresh rate isnt quick enough. It should'nt be a major problem as it happens with most laptop LCD's.
There is really nothing you can do.
The lower the response time of the LCD the less ghosting.
Response time is measured in ms. -

Could you describe your situation a bit more - as in, are you seeing image ghosting or is there a line going up and down the screen every once in a while? You could try turning on Vsync and see if that helps any.
Congratulations on the laptop by the way. -
thank you for your responses...
actually when I play PES6 I have to have vertical sync on. it has nothing to do with lines or other glitches. Just when there is a movement of the screen , for instance a goal kick, then I have this ghost effect. I imagine it is the same thing as playing an RPG game and you are on a move then you will have the same effect on objects (only on a move).
Anyway, i have to say that this ghost effect was much much greater when i played the game as it came. I mean that after a while i patched it with the evolution patch - better graphics and resolution - that made the effect less important thus better gaming experience. So I came to the conclusion that more the objects (players etc.) are in higher resolution (the patch uses more detailed objects than the original game) then less the ghost effect.
Thank you anyway, it is just that I read somewhere that setting the gamma settings, color correction etc. could resolve this problem... -

If you are running your LCD screen out of its native resolution, that could have something to do with this.
A little question about the ghosting effect
