Hi Guys,
Im new to the forums and I registered to tell you all about an annoying error message which some of you may possibly have...
I have a Dell Inspiron 9400 with an x1400 and I use the Ati mobility modder tool so I can use the latest video drivers. Last night I installed the latest catalyst drivers - 8.6. Everything seemed to be working fine, until everything crashed. I got the annoying message on the bsod:
NMI : Parity check / memory parity error
I knew it was the latest catalyst drivers causing this problem so I unistalled them and went back to 8.5. Now everything is fixed and I can play games again without the BSOD!
To summarize: Latest ATI CCC Drivers 8.6 cause crash! (at least for me anyway)
Hopefully this will help those with this problem,
Gregoland

Thanks for the update! The numbers for ATi users are falling, but the ones who use ATi will be grateful for your info!

8.6 hotfix drivers are the best for me on my desktop so far, the 8.7 betas are pure evil tho.
A small warning which may help you!
