we post games too buy, but games not to buy??
-
I really really hated Assassin's Creed because it was just extremely repetitive for me.
-
because there are too many to count. also no one goes "i want to buy a whole bunch of games, so im going down to best buy. what games should i just leave on the shelf"
-
I hated Spore. I don't recommend anyone buy or play it.
-
GTA IV was total pants imo. deleted it off steam already as id rather have the space.

Any game on Steam that does not have to be played on Steam, for example Call of Duty 4. Why? Because you don't get proper ownership rights to sell your games on.

I'd say Stalin vs Martins is the worst game of 2009 (so far anyway.)
-
Anything that contains Barbie, ponies, or big game hunting. 99.999% of everything else is personal taste.
-
Prison Tycoon was terrible.
-
-
See my sig in regards to 'bad' games. -
Any game which doesn't fit the genre of games you're used to i.e. don't buy games like Call of Duty if FPS games aren't your cup of tea.

Ghostbusters: The Videogame -_-
Even my cat can code a better AI for the PC controlled units teammates... -_-, I deleted it from my notebook after I got stuck on a level where they keep killing each other, I had no time to blast the ghosts, I had to keep running after my stupid teammates to revive them ALL THE TIME, pretty annoying...
Rite now im watching the walkthrough of this game over YouTube, because the story is good IMO... But the poor coded AI made me uninstall the game =P So, I think any game from TerminalVelocity should suck, since they cant code a simple AI for a simple game... -

Turning Point: Fall of Dignity
Also I disagree with your sig^^^ Signal2Noise, Even if a bad game was totally free , or even payed me a petty fee to play it , I would never touch it. Too many AAA titles out there to waste my time. -

FarCry2
Look fun and exciting, but it's not...
The graphics are pretty decent though. -
Crysis is a beautifully looking game that has AI dumber than a stump and a horrible physics engine. Not to mention the horrible story and VERY VERY VERY POORLY OPTIMIZED ENGINE. -
-
Legendary - the game was just not there.....
-
Crysis, this game is dramatically empty. No inspiration. Graphics are pretty decent but i'd give them a zero artistically speaking. I've played like one hour or so while i spent incalculable hours on Stalker for example.
-
Well, Terminator 4. The reviews literally destroyed it, especially the 4-hour length game which is a bad copy of gears of wars.

Most games based off of movies
-
halo 2, because it had to be played on a vista system
-
Spent $9.99 on Turning Point and still feel like I got ripped off !
Oh..............don't but Oblivion either ! -
-
Need For Speed: Pro Street.... the only awful NFS game I've played thus far.
-
Alone in the Dark, painful game to play
-
left 4 dead, sorry I like fps and all but this game got boring after 20 minutes.....
-
Far Cry 2.
-
Aww I liked Crysis :/
I wrote it off as a "tech demo" and "PC Killer" (the second of which it is), but I really really really like that game now.
And the AI is freaking insane (on Delta at least); they're pretty smart guys.
But I also feel like a huge part of the game is how pretty it is, so if you can't crank it up, don't bother -
remember dune....a command and conquer rip off
-
SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
Legendary had awesome music, and the plot could easily have spread out into an excellent game.
But no. It was a failure. I do like the soundtrack, though. -
-
Dune 1 came out in 1992 as well as Dune 2.
Command and conquer ripped off Dune..... -
sim city series

Would it depend on the platform (MMORPG, FPS, RTS, OMGBBQ?)
And, lastly, would it depend heavily on Barbie's outfit choices, and (perhaps not coincidentally) the game's ESRB rating? (I know there are folks out there who would buy this if, say, it got an AO rating...) -
Dune 2 came before C&C... I remember that was the game that got me into RTS. I loved it, thought it was great, remember, this was bloody ages ago!
I was un-impressed with Far Cry 2. Maybe it was over hyped, I just got bored of it within a couple of hours of play, ended up uninstalling it. I should prbably re-install and complete it at least.
Games are highly subjective, what I love, others probably won't like. I thought Crysis was great. As mentioned, if you didn't have a system capable of running it with graphics up reasonably high, then don't bother. I love how the "reactive" the environment is, really immersive, same as why I like BF:Bad Company, im all about the immersion, and realism.
I wasn't overly impressed with COD4. I did enjoy the single player story, but the game felt fake and artifical to me after playing Crysis...
DOW2 I thought was crap, but thats probably because I favour strategic level RTS, like SupCom. Not a fan of micro-managing. Plus I can't understand why they took away the base building and made it into a poor party hack and slash. -

i agree. SC is amazing. most of the sims games are as well....... too many issues? how can you have too many issues1 its more realistic!
-
Railroad Tycoon, Airport Tycoon, most of those Tycoon games are REALLY boring. I like Roller coaster Tycoon and zoo tycoon though
-
Any Company of Heroes game that isn't the orginal.Sorry relic, you made a great base game but screwed it up with the expansion. The british was the worst, it that faction was sooooo overpowered.
Imagine a faction that can has heavy tanks, rifle grenades, Commando and tank gliders that can land anywhere on the map, trenches and entranched heavy AT-Guns and AA-Guns.The british faction has everthing.
What does the panzer elite faction get?Crappy half tracks and light vehicles. The heavy tanks they do get are only availible as a support option, cost too many support points, and once you finally get the tank, they are underpowered.
The original factions are perfectly balanced though. -
Here's a really old one...but I have to put it on here because some people might laugh if they know anything about it. Universal combat. Anyone remember that epic review someone wrote just to tick off Derek Smart? "....I was unable to play the game as it appears the CD was made from compressed ham and gravel from Derek Smart's driveway..." XD
-
-
The British may be strong defensively, but they are not very strong offensively. The panzer elite had one of the most important tanks in the game the marder tank. with two of those you could easily cover larger areas of the map. The panzer elite are able to quickly assault the Britsh defenses . Plus if the British use to many emplaced artillery they can't build enough tanks/ anti tank guns. I think they are perfectly balanced, and the new factions add depth to the game. I remember over running the British lines numerous times. -
EDIT: Did I also mention the british Buildings are also movable. This means even if you do break through the defences, the british player can just pack up and move.Explain that.
Anyway, back on topic. -

Conan the barbarian was horrid. Dont even look at it your eyes will bleed.

I didn't try the latest expansion coz DoW2 came out and it's so much more fun online (and balanced now) than CoH.
So I guess I would tell people not to buy CoH now and buy DoW2 instead.
A twist...what games not to buy...
