    I like WIC.

I played it several months ago and have just recently started over after picking up the $5 copy from D2D.

It is a very good game, especially if you can get it cheaply. It is good if you can find a solid community to play with. When it comes to strategy games it is good for how short the matches are.

I loved it and I am still playing multiplayer now and then. The graphics and the motion are great so I think you will definitely enjoy it. Especially when you nuke people.

Played this in summer 2008 (when I got my Vaio) - on I think easy or medium in about 2 weeks.
It is a good game - mayb a bit short - so I wouldn't recommend buying it for the full price, but else, go for it :)

Edit by the way: Its just "World in Conflict" if I'm not mistaken.

D2D has the gold edition for a fiver at the moment, and that is a truely fantastic price for this game, single player is decent but multiplayer is where this gem shines......shame i havent been able to play many multiplayer games.....also note D2D has CoH gold edition for $5 as well and that would be my pick.

a little advice the online community is very unforgiving, ur best bet is to find a friendly person and shadow them to learn multiplayer tactics

Hated WiC only because it's short on strategy and all about mass-scale action and big explosions. Love Company of Heroes; it's the best RTS ever, in my opinion.

I disagree...I think it has a TON of strategy...It is just more fast-action then most RTS....You have to be very wise with the units you have!

This is a micro-manage game that is actually a lot of fun, unlike DoW2 which is a micro-manage game that is as boring as paint drying. I quite enjoyed WiC and the Soviet Assault Expansion. Get it!

Why would you only get one? They're $5 a game, don't be cheap.

I don't know how more powerful your 9800m gt is, but my 9600m gt struggled like crazy.

Make sure you card can handle it, this game is very intense on the gpu.

    With "World in Conflict"?
    (no expansion)

Offline it works on a 8400M GS - and just about works on an Intel X3100.

Yes no problems, its works perfectly with 64bit vista.
My friend plays it with his HD3670 and the 9800m will play it well, but it wont max the settings.

That's not totally true, my 3470 is running it on low settings getting 32fps average

Wow this game is intense but DX9 mode is very much smoother than DX10. Which one do you guys play on?

well put it this way i could run it on a t5500 and a gma 950 on all low at 1280 by 800 at like 15-20 fps

sooooooooooooo im pretty sure u could find a decent config that allows you to play at acceptable frame rates with a 9800 gts
