This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I totally disagree with you, niffcreature. The PCB design would be hardcore work (multi-layer PCBs) and the software and testing equipment involved in designing such a high-integrated circuit costs a fortune.

    And of course all the needed knowledge, you're really underestimating the complexity of such a task. Even if you have a Master at electrical engineering with specialization on chip and PCB design it would take forever... not to forget the software interface to make it compatible with the system BIOS, and the cost would be tremendous.

    You have access to the MXM 2.1 standard? That's great, but it wont help that much, really.
