The computer I am planning to buy looks like a good deal..... however, I don't know much about graphic cards that don't have their own memory. How would this system perform for gaming ..... i.e. how would this system play, for example, Skyrim (low, mid, high or ultra)

Okay - After gathering enough information on this laptop/specs, here is what I've gathered:

You can expect 5650 similar performance. If you play BF3, expect low settings; if you play COD BO, expect medium. Now since there are limited benchmarks with this card, we will take a look at 5650 performance in Skyrim, which is said to be at Medium.

Alternatively, you can also consider this "steal" of a deal:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/not...b-5400-4gb-recertified-449-newegg-canada.html (or 399$ in the US)

With the Asus model (assuming you were looking at the HP model for 439$), you can expect better build quality/keyboard/touchpad.

It is also important to note that HP's in that price group get extremely hot when gaming - When I say "extremely", I mean burn scars on your lap (I'm living proof), so try and avoid them.
