Valve have provided the chance for people with Nvidia graphics card in their laptop/desktop to get Half Life 2 Deathmatch, Half life 2 Lost Coast, Portal: First Slice and Peggle Extreme for FREE. No problem. I have no idea what 1st slice is but its an extended version somehow. But it could be a exteneded demo, but then again Portal itself was a demo

Why don't they put the hl2:deathmath and lost coast free for all?
They already put it free for people with ati graphics cards and now to nvidia.

Weren't all these things already free to begin with? They've been sitting in my games list for ages, well not 1st Slice, but I have the "full" game of portal.

Nope, but you may have gotten them with some previous game.
If you have Halflife or Halflife 2 (or Orange Box), they automatically unlock a bunch of games, including the lost coast, HL Deathmatch and a couple others.
But they haven't been *free* until now.

 

Hope not. My M1530 isnt here yet. Right now,I only have my M1330 with x3100

 

Does that link only get you Portal:First Slice or HL2: DM and HL2:LC as well?

 

damn i allready have all of those games. i got hl2 death match and lost coast from CSS.

 

There goes my challenge of two weeks without games...

Question:
After I download and install all of those games, can I delete the downloaded files and still be able to play the games? If so, how do I do that?
Another thing, if I want to "uninstall" a game, what do I do? How do I get uninstalled games off of the "Not Installed" list?

A game that is free for ATI owners and for NVIDIA isn't a game free for ALL???
Or there is someone that can play HL2 with a Matrox G400?
I mean it's not an exclusive it's only a way to do some advertising

 

HL2 can be played on Intel 3100 too, that's neither Ati nor nVidia.

 

The non-installed games list the game that you own but are not installed in your computer. Why do you want to delete them? Hmmm is portal hero a women or it's just something specific to first slice?

 

Yeah, she's a woman. In fact all characters in the game are female. (insofar as robots and AI's can be female.)

And yeah, Steam simply shows what games you own. If a game is listed as "Not installed", it means just that. You own the game, you can download it whenever you like, but it's not currently on your computer. So there's nothing to remove.

Uninstalling games from Steam is pretty easy. (I can't remember if you can do it from within Steam, but otherwise you can just delete the folder they're stored in. Simple as that)
