Hello, other Robert!
Here is the fact: we have not yet made any pricing decisions regarding our current products in light of the next-gen products. Polaris doesn't get released until mid-year, so we have a while yet until we make those kinds of choices. So, for now, I could not say.

Right now it is just too early for me to be disclosing this sort of information. I know that will be disappointing to many of you, and I apologize that the OP was not more clear about the boundaries.

I promise to return for another AMA when I can answer all of your Polaris questions. I intend to do right by you guys; you deserve that. You'll just need to give me a little more time to do that. "

Thanks for taking the time to answer our queries, Thracks! Here are mine:

1) Following Anandtech's look at AMD laptops, I'd like to know if there's a realistic possibility of having high-end AMD graphics make a return in gaming notebooks. Having NVIDIA's hardware as the only option is not healthy for the industry, and I'd hoped that you would have some way of shoehorning a Radeon R9 Nano into a high-end 17-inch laptop chassis by now.

This seems to have been the only mobile question asked / answered (there was another below that but it was way down and not responded to / had no upvotes) and what a lame answer.

"Okay, everybody. As it is 5:20 PM, here, it's time for me to sign off and work on some other tasks that I needed to wrap up today.

First, I really appreciate the opportunity Tizaki and the /r/amd mod team + community arranged for me to do an AMA. I've always wanted to do an official one, and I can finally check that off my bucket list. SUPER EXCITING FOR ME.

Secondly, I know that I could not get to all of the Polaris architecture/SKU/pricing questions that people had. Right now those things are protected by strict NDAs, and I rather like keeping my job.
