EDIT : AMD have now added an 7000m series option.

Why no 7000m series download option, it`s been a few months, has AMD dropped the ball.

I can get 7000m drivers from links people have posted, so that`s not a problem.

    John.

given there recent admittance to poor linux support and how they are going to pull their finger out this doesn't inspire confidence

i echo what some person said recently about this:

How the hell can you R&D one of THE most complicated graphics processing units on the planet with billions of dollars invested over the years pushing the boundaries of what we as humans know to be possible in terms of microprocessor design and NOT bother with a correct directly downloadable driver MONTHS after a high end product is released which are essential for the said designed product to function properly? its like selling a dishwasher with no programs and just an on button

I'd say it's more curious since this is the flagship product for them for mobility and it would be the one they would use for any demonstration for their mobile tech.

I agree, it's odd. All I can guess is they've found a bug that they haven't ironed out yet and are working on it internally.

What are you talking about??? They made great progress over the years. I still remember 2003 when you couldn't even install drivers from their cd that came with the card!

I was thinking, even when there is an download option, like for 6000m series and below, all you can download is the tiny autodetect/download app anyway.

Maybe that`s why they have not bothered making an 7000m series download selection.

I agree, - it is really weird. I hope that they are working on it ;). My driver from Clevo works fine, for now.

They are up on AMD's website now (or at least the option for Radeon HD 7xxxM is). So that's an improvement. :)

However, they didn't work for me, so go figure. The driver verification tool said that my hardware was not recognized and that I needed to contact my notebook manufacturer. I will tinker with it some more later.

Edit: Checked Clevo website and MALIBAL support site, but nothing newer is listed. I submitted a ticket to the builder and hopefully will hear back shortly. Also tried forcing it to run in high-performance mode to see if that did anything. Nadda.

It doesn't work for me; it may work for you, I don't know. It states it is not compatible with Panasonic, Sony Viao, and Toshiba. FYI, I tried downloading both the 32 and 64-bit Win7 versions, with no luck for my particular rig.

I just tried it and it seems to work for me. Downloading now. 12.6 it looks like. Giving them a spin...
