Please report back, Powerdvd10 sometimes plays hard to get and says my blu ray isn't copy protected or some junk, like i bought it for another region or something.

Brink was shipped too broken, to fix completely in one patch. What a disgrace.

    yeah. *mourns his poor $38*

though, game is kinda fun if you get in a decent sized group and I'm on a map that doesn't drop below 28 fps

Most games as of today spends all their money on marketing their product instead of squashing the bugs.

What exactly is broken for you? the occlusion thing and the shadows is the main thing I'm seeing for AMD cards. Also I noticed sound cuts in and out haha. Oh and I guess alt-tab can take forever to restore.
My laptop seems to play it fine though at 1680x1050 with the two things off and vsync on 50-60FPS is where I hang out. Having a ton of fun with the game, not sure if I consider the game broken, as it's very fun and playable. Was able to go through the security campaign without a hitch. Hopped on some dedicated servers with low ping and any lag issues disappeared. One of the most fun class-based games since probably Bad Company 1 for me on the PS3.

magus - have you tried disabling shadows? enable console and then toss in r_shadows 0, could help as well as turning off AO which halves my FPS. From there you should get decent FPS I would think.

yeah. Neither of those are really helping much.

I may just have to blame the 5650 for being stuck at 450/800 clocks.
