These are basically a release aimed to fix some bugs reported, it incorporates various hotfixes.
Theyre still older than newer 12.7 beta which has got a CAP update as well.
I guess this release is aimed to further improve stability based on 8.980 branch performance.
Also, 7970m is listed and supported into cards list, no need of modding.

So for us 7970M people it's basically 12.6 < 12.7? I guess I'll find out soon enough just how stable 12.7 is. Regarding installing the 12.6, though, is it fresh install or overlap stock Clevo with just the 12.6 display drivers?

overlap... stick with 12.7 as it officially supports 7970m where the 12.6 does not

Not really. Most people think it's just for XFire but from time to time there are some improvements for single card users.

This is from the latest CAP, 12.7 CAP1:

You can see from that changelog that there are improvements for single card users.

Did anyone notice the sentence halfway down the page of the release notes:
"he following notebooks are not compatible with this release:
    .....Switchable Graphics enabled notebooks"

    Im presuming this means enduro?

I think it means that if you own a notebook with 7970M + Enduro, you can`t use this driver/this driver does not give you any improvements

You can install any official driver from AMD with Enduro support using this method if you want, at least for a Clevo.

    Wait.

Can't you make a clean install and then don't have to worry about enduro problems anymore ?(Since it is not supported)

I have no idea on other machines. But the display on the P150EM and the P170EM is connected to the iGPU. So whether you have a 680M or a 7970M, it's has to go through the iGPU, the iGPU is always on. No Optimus or Enduro enabled, then just black screen.
