I am Llano switchable Graphics laptop user and need some answer regarding latest catalyst support for Power express 4.0

Quote from Release Note of Catalyst 13.4

    ***Important!***

Please note, that the AMD Catalyst Mobility driver package can only be installed on specific AMD Enduro platforms, that are second generation AMD A-series APU, or third generation Intel Core family based.

Please note that all other platforms that do not include support for AMD Enduro Technology are supported through AMD Catalyst Mobility.

Does this means there are two mobility package for enduro and non enduro model ?
the catalyst verification tool does not install 13.4 in my case

More on this issue can be found AnandTech | Addendum Regarding AMD

You should install the 13.6 beta drivers. They contain further optimizations and performance improvements for Enduro systems.

Select the Mobility link from here.

Enduro is the updated name of PowerXpress.

Enduro or PowerXpress or Optimus, they're all different implementations of hybrid graphics, the underlying technology that allows muxless switching between the integrated and dedicated graphics.

If AMD hasn't specifically added compatibility, if you try installing it wouldn't install. There's an installation whitelist embedded in the installer, if you don't have a supported machine, it wouldn't install in other words. The mobility version of Catalyst should work if you have AMD graphics in your laptop.

Side note if you're trying, click custom instead of express setup. Look for "AMD Display Driver", if its present, your GPU's detected and just proceed.

If you click express, even if it doesn't properly detect a supported GPU, the Catalyst Control Center will still install and therefore the driver wouldn't update its been quite a long standing issue in specific setups.

I wouldn't say the Anandtech article is exactly right - have my reasons. I never had problems with my PowerXpress 4 system below with reference drivers at all...

Isn't the 13.6 broken with switchable graphics like 6720g2? It fails to detect dGPU...
