Yesterday Asder posted this driver on the guru3d forums:

    AMD Catalyst 13.x (13.150.0.0 May 23) - Guru3D.com Forums

Pretty much everithing is new in this driver, so maybe worth the try.People are reportyng much better and smoother performnace, and much better crosfire performance. Maybe its a beta for the new Stutter-free/better frame time driver ??
So far I tested on my enduro enabled laptop NFS most wanted, Tomb raider, Far cry 3 and all stayed at 99% utilization all the time, with great perfromace. Also tryed BF3, It can still drop under 90% util. but it also feel somewhat smoother. 3d mark 11 score went down a bit, but still its worth to install these..

This is an absolutely incredible driver. I've never seen such a performance quality jump (not only frame rate boost, but actual frame quality/smoothness) from any driver I've tried in the past. Even in heavily populated areas in WoW where the framerate drops generally to somewhere around ~25 on Ultra, it's an extremely smooth 25, so it doesn't look bad at all. Mind you, I wasn't able to play even WoW on this laptop on HIGH settings without annoying stuttering, let alone being able to play it on Ultra now.

Definitely excited -- especially because this isn't even an official driver release yet, so I'm sure the actual release will have even more improvements. Can't wait to test this on games other than WoW. I knew AMD wouldn't let everyone down (at least I hoped, this is the first AMD card I've ever owned in either a desktop or a laptop). Pretty sure they had a great piece of hardware the whole time, and they knew it, but they also had to know their drivers weren't nearly up to par. This is as close as they've come to living up to the potential of the card itself.

I'll stay away from this driver after hearing lots of people having problems with it (reinstalling windows ect)

I also have abolutelly zero problems with this driver. Installed fine, works fine, no Bsod or other problem + a significiant boost in all games. Especially the underutilization seems much better. For me This is the BEST driver to date, in terms of stability and peroformance. Also I would reccomend it for crossfire users toi try , as many desktop users reported much higher utilization of the second card.

I was running this one since yesterday. This morning I started my p150em to play a game, buy the dgpu wasnt being detected. Afterburner and benchmarks wouldn't bring it up. Restarting did nothing. Ended up reverting to 13.4.

It did have the smoothest game play though. No increase, but lower fps was smoother.

EDIT: Well, 13.4 did it too, No dGPU being used at all. Thought it might have to do with the newest Intel HD drivers I was using. Re-installed the entire set up, fine on first boot but second it was gone again. Disabled ULPS and it seems okay. Will report if it sticks or not. Hope I don't have to reinstall.

I am going to try another uninstall/reinstall of the driver - but I am having an issue playing bf3 with it. Sometimes when it goes to launch, it just plain locks up. Once it BSOD on me. However, when I installed it I did not reinstall the intel driver so I am going to try that next time. Perhaps that will help.

However, I am seeing a good performance increase. While I am not always seeing full utilization in Bf3, I am running 60-70 fps in metro, basically everything maxed except blur turned off. There are a few dips in to the 50's but nothing crazy, and not for long.

Any benefits for users of older, non- Enduro AMD GPUs?

there should be a significant increase, based off the desktop users

Not really, no. Most modern driver optimizations relate to modern architectures, regardless of the brand. They can't endlessly tweak legacy hardware, can they? However, newer drivers supposedly to be out this month or the next are supposed to contain a complete memory management rewrite from a ground up process. So that should most likely help a lot of ATI users with sporadic problems.

Didn't get too far with these drivers. If I put my MBP to sleep, the screen will stay black upon waking it up. Older beta drivers (13.3, 13.5) do not have this problem.

I feel bad for those these drivers don't work for. It may be this leaked version is for only the 7000+ series of mobility drivers, but I can say that this is honestly the only time I've been truly happy with this laptop's performance. This is how I imagined it would be when I bought it originally, so that's been... many many months ago, but I'm glad I didn't jump ship and stayed to give AMD a chance.

Hardware ID list in the .inf says its for all.

Never failed to work on the system in my sig. Its a PX 4 with 7470M/6490M. No brightness issue either. I thought this driver looked smoother over 13.4.

When attempting to install, select custom.

If the list of components to be updated includes "AMD Display Driver", technically your GPU is actually supported. If it doesn't, it's either not supported or that the hardware hasn't been detected properly (happens sometimes to CIM).

It means your hardware ID is listed in the .inf file. You might lose a couple of Catalyst menus. Leaving only hydravision (happened to me)

Currently running 13.4 and I've yet to encounter an issue, though this is on a desktop with Radeon 7950.
