I presume this is an alpha driver for Catalyst 11.5?

Thank you. I'll try these now.

edit: Current driver is 8.841.0.0 so I assume this is 11.5 preview.

Cool! If ATI is going towards performance, performance, performance then I will give these a shot tonight.

I hope so... driver support for ATI actually being decent would be so great.

    11.5 didn't increase my 3DMark 11 score at all, unlike 11.4 :(

I got nice increases all round. Almost breaking 1800 with my 6770 :)

    GDDR5 DOES help a lot... I have 1250... :(

    Yeah GDDR5 @ 1.125Ghz giving me 72GB/sec bandwidth :D

The core however helps more in 11, my 5730 scores around 20% less than the 6770 at the same clocks which is the number of shaders the 6770 has over the 5730.

    Now in vantage i've gone from P5646 (4816 GPU) @ 900/1130 to P7686 (7107 GPU) @ 900/1125. That's a 41% advantage in GPU score.

Wow...! I must DL vantage then!

So, a core OC helps more than memory OC in DX10/11 games? Memory OC is onoy for DX9, right?

Not really, the 3dmark tests tend to be quite core intensive, however notice the resolutions they are run at, 1280x1024 and 1280x768, these are quite low, but at my native 1920x1080, bandwidth will matter a lot more.

    Ah, I see.

Do you think a 50MHz core and/or mem OC of my 5730 will increase my score from 3422 to around 3500+? GPU score.

Well I needed 900/1130 clocks to get the score above in vantage with a 5730.

Whats the point of checking what your "scpre" is? I always thought ingame performance is all that matters?

Not interested, unless they issue release notes saying it improves performance.

Haven't noticed much. Last time I played Civilization 5 I was on 10.8. Now I'm on 11.5 preview and somewhere along the line It's gotten about 20% faster I'd say. Perhaps it's also the game patches. Hard to say, but I'm having fewer tile glitches and it seems to render tiles faster.

If you do a lot of Photoshop work, then this is worth it as it has the fix. The mouse fix is not included though.
