I feel like my 6990M isn't performing as well as it should, any of you guys out there have this same card? If so, what are your benchmarks?

For example, in Crysis with AA off and everything set to high settings, I get around 40 - 50 fps average.

    Another example: Skyrim

    All settings set to High
    2x AA
    16x AF
    Vsync On
    All view distances maxed
Distant object detail set to High

    I average in between 40 - 60 fps

My laptop is a Clevo P150HM (Malibal Lotus). I have both power profiles set to "High Performance". My current AMD Catalyst driver version is 12.4.

are you running at stock clocks? I think your 6990m is in the ballpark given your numbers

What were your expectations for the 6990m on crysis? That is one of the most demanding games of all time. As far as skyrim goes, you have vysnc on...which means you will never go above 60fps

If you want to boost the performance, overclock it a bit, but otherwise, i think it is performing normally

Yeah I am not sure if this and Slick's comment are going to disappoint you (sorry if they do) but your numbers are 6990m standards. Skyrim is about 50fps with your preset and Crysis is about a bit lower. Don't look at the year Crysis was released. Until three months ago, there wasn't a single laptop GPU that could run Crysis maxed. Besides, like Slick said, you should either turn off Vsync or be happy with your rates. You are going to be 60fps limited with Vsync.

Ah okay, I've been educating myself recently about video cards and I figure I set the bar too high. And I have to enable v-sync for most games because they all have severe screen tearing issues if I don't.
