So these were posted in an article about the new AMD Trinity APU's. Apparently its almost 1100 points higher in 3DMark 11 than a 580M... Does that seem right? I would link to the article but the writer uses some offensive language and I dont wish to poke the mods buttons about it. Heres the images off of it.

It is a desktop APU combo with a desktop HD 7950?

edit :HD 7950 is the next card AMD releasing after 7970...
Probably the 1K is the APU alone

Doubt it. AMD estimated 50% better than the Llano iGPU which means that it isn't anywhere near the 580m.

I don't know what AMD did with the desktop versions of Trinity, but I doubt they did radically different from the mobile versions.

OK i read it wrong, but It is some CPU with a HD7950

edit: I just noticed but they should do better if they want to fake something.

No it's not. Look at the pictures again.

But yeah, obviously any CPU paired with a 7950 is going to outscore a 580m.

~3k is fine for a stock GPU score; the stock 6970m score i have uploaded is 2934.

Mind you those scores were with highly overclocked CPUs too. :p
