    Hi

    I recently purchased a Sager NP9390 with that AMD® Radeon™ HD 8970M (4.0GB) GDDR5 PCI-Express DX11
Since then i have been contemplating if i would have been better off buying the crossfire or SLI ..
what difference does this make in terms of the games that i can play ..
is there some games that i cannot play with the above configuration?

Also .. i have a 12 GB Ram (1600 Hz)on that machine .. can i add more Ram from my other (unused ) laptop to increase the speed ..? kindly advice

    Thanks
    Sandesh

what is your CPU, i7 4700MQ i guess.. more than enough :)
the HD8970M can handle any ultra (sometimes with AA) without any problems :)
CF 2 of them and you will have overkill performance..

about the RAM ? not you cant since the 4xxx cpus work with 1.35V DDR3L memory :) (1.5V for the standard DDR3)

I had 7970m in CF which is almost the same as 8970m CF. There is a handful of games that will definitely benefit like - Crysis 3, Skyrim with ENB mods, Farcry 3, BF4 (although a single holds up well here too). Most cases a single card can run almost all games. One thing is when your running 2 cards in CF the cards are barely stretching their legs so fans usually stay on a low/quite profile while hitting 60fps.
