    UBIShop - The Official Ubisoft Online Store

    Is it worth buying direct from Ubisoft? How are future DLCs handled? Do you have an account with them and they store your Product and you can do future downloads like Amazon? Anyone ever buy direct from Ubisoft and how does it go?

    EDIT: I guess it's better to buy this game on Steam because Steam has DLCs for it and you can't buy DLCs for ANNO 2070 on Ubisoft.

    Even if you buy it on Steam you get that horrible UbiSoft DRM. D;
    Wen they took down the activation server people could not play any of the recent Ubi titles.
    My H.A.W.X. 2 was useless.

    I plan on trying this game tomorrow and if I like it, I will most definitely be purchasing it. The trailer almost sold me and I love these types of games.

    If you purchase this game and hate DRM, there's always a hack (which I will not link) to play it without the DRM, but I'm not sure how it would affect this game in particular since I have yet to play it.

    I usually preview video games by watching gameplay on Youtube. I also look at web page guides on walkthroughs of the game to see how it plays. It seems like this game is worth only $20 to $25 to me, and bought on Steam.

    Look at this to expect how the game plays: Anno 2070 Wiki

    I guess I'll have my fun playing ANNO 1404 until ANNO 2070 gets cheap. There are lots of people trying to torrent this game but it has a trojan.

    I didn't have a bad experience with Ubisoft drm on The Settlers 7 game, - which a lot of people complained about. My biggest gripe is when you buy a game and it only allows you 3 installs.

    I bought the original game some time ago and i've to say that the DRM isn't a problem cause many of the online features proposed merge together with the single player experience. That's why. In fact the cracked version (that honestly i tried before the purchase) was only half the fun compared to the full one. The game is very good even if the sci-fi scenario doesn't fit as well as the medieval/past one (of Anno 1404 and 1701).

    According to the Anno 2070 Wiki the Game Menu has: 1) Single Mission 2) Global Events 3) Continuous Game

    - That really threw me off to discover there is no Campaign Mode for this game, so to me it's not worth much. It's like Anno 1701... I'll get my "ANNO" action from ANNO 1404 Gold, which I bought cheap from Amazon for $12.79 dvd shipped. I'll get ANNO 2070 when it hits $20 on Steam.

    I really wanted to test ANNO 2070 with the torrent but it has a trojan. I wanted this game to have a Campaign mode.

    I've been wanting this game because of how pretty it is, but it's going to have to be cheaper than $30.

    Go to Gaikai

    They have a free 30 minute streaming trial of the game.

    It's the 1404 date which doesn't interest me. I'm into futuristic sci-fi settings.
