I just watched the video review over at ign.com. Towards the end of the video, they are showing some ships on the water that are spinning around almost right on top of each other. I'm interested in getting this game when I get my new laptop...are the physics really that bad??

AOE isn't about physics...it's about strategy. The game is good but isn't much of an upgrade over the last game in terms of gameplay. It certainly looks nicer though.

True it's not about physics. Even still, you shouldn't be able to have 4 ships in the space of about 2. Oh well, still looks like a great game, as does Star Wars: Empire at War.

i'd say AOE3 is pretty realistic excpet for ships. But watching ships get damaged and seeing planks of wood and things fly off it is quite realistic and very fun to watch.

I played AOE3 for like 2 hours and decided that AOM was better. I didn't like it

I suppose people have different tastes in games. I'm not into magical, mystic sort of games

Same here, I am more into strategy.

Better then AOE for me is Rise of Nations : Thrones and Patriots expansion back.

I like the Hometown in AoEIII.
And like Darby says, the damage looks much better now
