Here are a couple of screenshots I took:

Keep in mind these are high settings, not epic. I'm running on a GTX 970M. For epic settings you likely need a GTX 980 or 980Ti
-
980 or 98Ti? more like 2-3 of them and a hexacore i7.
-
I've played it. It needs some work to help with performance.
Not a bad game. Lots to do. More fun with friends, kinda boring alone. -
I played a bit right after launch, but set it aside because the graphics looked dreadful on lower settings and the devs hadn't really put much time into optimization. Looks really great on higher settings, so I might give it another go to see if they've worked on the optimization.
-
After watching some videos of settings comparisons on youtube, it would seem that high and epic only differ in the amount of displayed clouds (everything else seems to be the same).
If that's the case, then I see no point in using epic settings.
Same idea with most other recent games.
There just doesn't seem to be a justifiable reason to 'max out' a game in the settings when there's little to no visual difference that people would necessarily notice - unless you want to cripple your machine performance.
Not my kind of game though.
Unreal engine 4 however looks good. -
DX12 patch (for Windows 10) coming this Friday, 20% perf improvement expected: http://www.dsogaming.com/news/ark-s...his-friday-offers-20-performance-improvement/
This game's optimization (or lack thereof) seems to be the butt of many jokes.

What other games have a dx 12 patch?
-
Project Cars is supposed to get one. I sure hope so since it's probably my most played game right now.
-
I heard a lot about a witcher 3 patch and i just started it.
So id wait for the patch -
Can't help but feel that UE4 not supporting SLI is just blah.
I mean they already cut out quite a few features from it because "PCs wouldn't be able to run them", but if we had multi-GPU support maybe we could XD -
It's lame isn't it. By any chance do you know if it'll have a frame rate cap?
-
Since UT 4 ran at 120fps for me when I tried it a long time ago, I highly doubt they'll build in a framerate cap. If anything, it'll be an optional deal via the config files as with UE3/UE2/etc games.
-
Lol yes.. I just had a blond moment. I was thinking of id 4/5
-
Oh god, please don't remind me of ID Tech 5
-
Knowing Doom is coming out on it is breaking my heart.
-
What.
Doom is gonna be on ID Tech 5?
Surely you mean ID Tech 6? Surely you mean some other engine that has a 5 in it and also the name tech and/or ID in it? SURELY IT CAN'T BE ID TECH 5??!!?!?!?!!!!?!??!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!!!?!?!?!1!?1?//11?!?!!?!shift+one!!?!???!? -
Lol.. sorry for the scare. I think it is actually going to be ID tech 6 not 5. I'm really hoping the non-SLI frame limited cancer from 5 doesn't spread across to 6.
-
Oh. Good. I was actually really ticked off when I heard that. I hate when devs use crappy engines as a choice. *struts around as if he knows about engines* *still bashes single-threaded engines and ones with bad optimization as a whole*TBoneSan likes this.

Witcher 3 won't have a DX12 patch
-
I had no idea the game was so pretty. The screenshots I've seen up to now have been much, much uglier than that.
And DX12? I may have to give it a whirl when I get my P651SG back

@Cakefish what happened to your 651SG?
-
Ark seems like a pretty cool game. I've watched some of my favorites streamers and youtubers play it for months, so I tried it out for myself on the free weekend. Glad I did, because it runs like garbage on a 650M. I didn't expect much after all the complaints I've heard about performance, but I needed to see how bad it was. Sub 20fps at medium settings and 768p resolution is pretty terrible. I was interested in seeing how much of a boost the I would get with the DX12 patch, and if the SLI DX12 work around would have done anything to help. But alas, it was delayed so now I wait.

It was collected by Scan as they agreed to swap the LG LP156WF4-SLB5 display panel that I received in the laptop in favour of the AUO B156HAN01.2, which they had told me would be included before I purchased. This is my second P651SG, the original one I accidentally killed by completely botching my attempt at a screen swap from the glossy Sharp 4K panel to a matte one (not sure if you were already aware of that).

How did you kill it while swapping screens lol? BTW saw you on Android Central that day
Nice Moto you have

By not disconnecting the battery beforehand. It shorted and sparked and killed the motherboard.
I'm really liking the Moto
It's definitely not as speedy as my Nexus 5, but makes up for that by giving me much better camera quality and battery life. I'll probably sell my Nexus 5 soon, will be sad to see it go.

Wow... That really sucks.. Well did the warranty cover you or you had to buy a new one? I better make sure I disconnect the battery in the P771ZM before I fiddle with anything in it..

Didn't attempt warranty repair as it was clearly my own fault. Warranty doesn't cover self stupidity!
So yeah, I bought a new one. The one that's now with Scan undergoing the display surgery. Seeing as I was downgrading from the gorgeous Sharp 4K panel I at least wanted the best FHD panel possible. That's why I asked Scan if they sold the P651SG with the AUO and they said that they did. When I received the LG instead (who our very own LunaP rated worse than the AUO) I was pretty miffed and politely requested they give me the panel I thought I was paying for. They took their sweet time but eventually agreed to do something about it, collected the laptop last week and that's the whole story so far!

Ahh that sucks... I'm in a similar boat as you.. Made the big mistake of upgrading to 10 and that killed my GPU... Had warranty but spent like $40 on shipping.. Now screen is dead... Just bought the P771zm since I've had enough of this with AW...
