Hi guys!
I just recently purchased the F3Sv only to find that the clocks on the 8600M GS are terribly crippled. Upon looking for a solution, I stumbled across this site that mentions ASUS using DDR2 with this card instead of DDR3. It would have been really nice if ASUS actually listed on their website that they were dropping the clocks, especially so drastically!
Anyhow, so I downloaded nTune and RivaTuner and both can overclock the card nicely. I can get it up to 650/575 from 500/400 without artifacts...and I tested F.E.A.R. with it for over an hour (went from 40fps avg to 55fps at 1024x768 all Max settings, no softshadows and no AA). Problem is, when I reboot the computer, all the clocks reset and I have to manually adjust them again...this is using both nTune and RivaTuner. This is a major pain in the arse, and I was wondering if anyone had a solution. I've already tried downloading the latest drivers from the ASUS website. Thanks in advance.

There's a setting in RivaTuner that allows you to set the clocks to what you want when the computer starts.

Yeah, I've tried that. There's a button you can click to "save" your clocks and then have rivatuner set that when it starts up at windows logon. Problem is, no matter what I try, I can't get rivatuner or ntune to set specified clocks after a reboot. They always revert back to factory settings. If anyone has an ASUS F3SV-X1 and has successfully managed to get either rivatuner or ntune to boot overclocked settings at startup (following a complete shutdown), could you please give me a step by step walkthrough including which version of ntune or rivatuner and video drivers you are using. Thanks.
