I have narrowed my search to the above 2 laptops.
I am leaning towards ASUS as I used to have one and really liked it. It had 1060nvidia so now I am upgrading.
Both have similar specs. Only thing I am unsure of is which will provide better gaming performance?
It seems like legion 5i has better rtx2060 as its not the max-q version.
    Can anyone confirm?

The ASUS G15 uses the Max-Q version of the RTX2060 so the legion 5i will be faster since it uses the normal RTX2060.

You can also check out the HP Omen 15, Acer Predator, MSI GL65 and etc that uses similar specs.

Also be aware of the Wattage since many of the RTX cards uses different wattage
