    Is ATI 2400 HD is better or Nvidia 8600M GS? Both have 256MB dedicated memory

    I would say, generally the nVidia 8600m GS is more powerful.

    The 8600m gs has double the shaders and double the memory bus width.

    8600m gs has more raw power, but it might be faulty.
