Judging by previous posts on this forum, little was known about the 120M when it was released, now that its been out for a while, how much better is the 4650 than the 120M, I ask this because in europe (I live in UK) the N81Vp is unavailable but the N81Vg is available. So would it be worth importing the N81Vp for the extra performance?

(also i found this site that claims to be selling the N81Vp in europe/UK however it seems to be a scam.. thoughts?)

    Gt 120m = 9600m Gt < Hd 4650 by a lot.

For the nth time, notebookcheck is not a reliable source of benchmarks for direct comparison.
    Though I agree. 4650 > 120M.

Its quite obvious that the 4650 is better, but my question is: how much better? if notebookcheck is unreliable does any one know quantifiable data about this (preferably for real game comparisons rather than 3dmark)?

Notebookcheck is not completely unreliable, you just have to inspect the results carefully. However, here is some Game data with which you can compare a 9600GT (120 should be similar) to the 4650

notebookcheck is sometimes misleading about their results.

if they put the ati 4650 above the nvidia gt 120m, then that is not one of those times.

I thought it was the GT 130m that is equivalent to the 9600m gt? In any case, the 4650 would rip the 120m / 130m apart, well not to a really large extent, but it is more powerful than both cards.

Depending on the clocks on the 120m (which depend on the OEM), it's a 9600gt or 9650gt... the 130m has higher clocks than both.

Also, N51 is getting a refresh VERY soon... Gentech has it for preorder now.
