    If anyone with an ATI Radeon 4870 mobile in their AW could tell me what vBIOS version they've got running (that works properly lol) via GPU-z, that would be super..

    Is that a flashed overclock or, what system is running that 4870?

    R2. rats.

    What I was getting at, anyway, was a different BIOS for some MXM 2.1 4870's I've got. I believe them to be old or at least not optimal.
    If anyone is willing to share, that would help IMMENSELY!

    I'll repost a request for such if no one comes through and I find out my vBIOS ver.'s aren't standard.

    That's where they're from. I was expecting MXM 2.1 4870's but forgot most are 3.0.
    If anyone's got what I'm looking for, again, would be appreciated!

    for wich system ? cause alienware only ever had 4850 in mxm 2.1 and the only 4870 on mxm 2.1 i know are from asus and the vibios is unlikely to work any where else

    Did you by chance buy a 2.1 4870 from Table? I did and I am now also looking for other Bios' to try out as my built-in screen does not work w/ the card.

    sorry for vanishing after that but if it's for the m17-r1 i can provide my 4850 vbios if the card is not the inverted asus edition then it is likely the beta card for this very laptop (some one tested them long ago)

    ill just need some time to dig them up as i cannot simply extract them from my cards long story
