Dont use the modder, just do the modding yourself...extract the files and add your device ID to the .INF...of course if you're a total idiot and youre trying to install these drivers on something wildly incompablie (like a nVidia product), you will get a BSOD and a IRQL error.

But this is the method I have been using for a while to install radeon drivers...

How do I add the device ID to the .INF and which .INF do I add it to?

OK I managed to install the newest 8.70 RC3 drivers and to my surprise they actually work(It does seem to have some mobility support built in) but I'm still not getting the Flash 10.1 hardware acceleration working on my Radeon Mobility 3410HD even though I have the latest Flash 10.1 Beta 2 installed, and hardware acceleration is enabled in the right click>settings menu.

Anyone try the new 10.2 drivers yet? Also, how do you generate the string (like PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9552&SUBSYS_023F1025&REV_00 mentioned earlier) for a particular video card, say ATI 4650?

As I mentioned in previous post, ATI 4650. I am able to run the installer, but it doesn't appear to update the driver.

If I point to it from "Update Driver" box in Properties of video card in Device Management, it says it's the latest version. Can't right click and install from .inf. How are you guys doing the manual update?
