CCC is the same. ATT is enough. The only thing in CCC and not in ATT is Powerplay.

    Cheers,

My laptop seems to have PowerPlay, even though I don't have CCC installed (I'm not a fan of it) - I noticed that my core:mem clocks were much lower on battery.

Thank for the info, I just downloaded and installed the 6.1's. No issues so far. :)

What does this download do for you...is there only certain cards that would require this download?

This is a new driver for ATI cards. And Catalyst Control Center app for fine tuning.
It supports the following graphic cards:

    Radeon® X1800 series
    Radeon® X1600 series
    Radeon® X1300 series
    Radeon® X850 series
    Radeon® X800 series
    Radeon® X700 series
    Radeon® X600 series
    Radeon® X550 series
    Radeon® X300 series
    Radeon® 9X00 series
    Radeon® 8500 series
    Radeon® 7X00 series

If you use CCC you need to install .NET framework from Microsoft.

    Cheers,

Guys, you might also check the new Ati Tray Tools! It is much better than the 1.0.4.
It seems that ATI CAT 6.1 CCC and ATT 1.0.5 are now friends!
    Cheers,

I benchmarked and it seems that 6.1 is a bit slower than 5.13. Not much, the difference is neglible, but slower. Seems to me that they fix only compatibility stuff.

    x700 128MB DDR
    default 350/300 - 2270 3dmark05 (5.13 - 2296)
    OC+lat 415/435 - 3070 3dmark05 (5.13 - 3108)

    Cheers,

Er,the compatibility list on the ATI site for the 6.1 drivers show that Mobility Radeon 9200 isn't supported.Any alternatives?

Sorry if I'm being ignorant... because I am :p But what's ATI Catalyst? is it an improved version of the normal ATI driver? What's so special about it?

    Thanks :D

Sorry if this answer is already out there somewhere, I'm horrible at doing research.

It is a driver + Catalyst Control Center app for additional tweaks for the mobility GPU.

I think it should be for 9200 too. 9x00 looks to me as 9200.
