So i just made this thread as i was curious about what other hd 3650 owners play and at what settings so i can see if i compare or if my card is deteriorating. Notably newer games as i have to keep turning down settings for them to get a good solid playable fps at 1280x800.
Games i had played (1280x800) -NO AA//AF on any game
Cod4 - high settings, some medium. very playable
CoD5 - medium ish settings - some low, very playable.
Devil may cry 4 - medium ish, textures on high, vsync on everything else on low. smooth & playable.
Street fighter 4 - set fps at 60. Most settings on high some on medium
Fallout 3 - Medium on mostly everything. Very playable
Crysis - Lol. All low - then its playable with no choppiness.
Resident evil 5 - Medium-low, still some choppiness on certain parts of the game.
Far cry 2 - medium-low. good and playable
My full specs:

If anyone else has tips as to how to increase my performance in fps on games please share![]()
Im a college student and ive had this laptop for a little over a year, and i plan to keep it for a while and use it for gaming as well; i cant spend money on another laptop later or a desktop either so i just need to know how to maintain my card and more importantly if it will run MW2 on medium!!!

I'm playing Crysis at a mix of settings.
Resolution - 1280 x 800 (Native)
Textures - Very high
Objects Quality - Very High
Shadows - Low
Physics - Very High
Shaders - Medium
Volumetric Effects - Low
Game Effects - Low
Photoprocessing - Very High
Particles - Low
Water Quality - Very High
Sound Quality - Very High
Motion Blur - Very High
I'm averaging 20 - 30FPS in open areas, and in buildings, it will go up past 40FPS. If I take Shaders down to Low I can usually get it to run at 30FPS> most of the time. Hell, this thing is better than my 8600 GTS for some odd reason. Extremely heavy action will go down to something like 15FPS, but I love having motion blur on, it's just such a nice effect.
Running Windows 7 RTM 32 bit. Clean install too.
COD4 I can max without AA and have it run at 30FPS+. 1280 x 800 as well. -
I only play EVE on my laptop. 1440x900, max everything (except bloom - I don't like the effect).
I used to play Mass Effect @ 1280x720, medium particle effects, max texture detail and dynamic shadows off.
Also used to play Fable Lost Chapters max everything @ 1440x900. -
I only have 2 games right now- but at No AA/AF, 1440x900-- I havent tried AF actually...ima try it later and see what I get.
dual turion 2.2 ghz
Ati 8.10 drivers,
Oh and Oc'ed to 810/603(it is stable)
Cod 4- Maxed out, Min- 34, Avg- 42, Max- 80(closed areas)-
Wow- Maxed out, has straight 30 fps, never lower or higher?(except indoors=60)-
3d mark 06- 4100( SM 3.0 score 1800, my cpu does bad) -
Come on people, don't let this topic die, I'd like to see more peoples' results with their 3650's.
