    So how's this card? The results that I've seen vary by a whole lot. Does anyone here actually have this card to testify for its abilities?

    Lots of people have this card here, try searching the specific forum for people who own the notebook that you are looking at w/ the HD 3850, such as Alienware or Sager/Clevo.
