    Probably about the same. Since the 4650 is just a tad better than the GT 230M, I'm going to say that the GT 240M and the 4650 are quite close.

    Can I go wrong if I pick the HD 4650 ? I really HOPE I don't. I'm planning to buy the Laptop stated on my sig. It costs 930 Dollars. I hope it's good.

    I believe someone is selling a sager n9262 in the NBR marketplace for about $100 dollars more and is superior in every way however it is a big 17" laptop. Otherwise for a new laptop the one in your sig is a pretty good deal.

    Nothing wrong with an HD4650.

    ATI and Nvidia have somewhat different architectures for their GPUs, so some applications might be slightly faster with an ATI, others might be slightly faster with an Nvidia. According to Notebookcheck, for instance, the HD4650 and GT240m get very similar scores in 3DMark benchmarks, but the HD4650 is substantially better by the Cinebench R10 benchmark. In games, it will vary from game to game, and it might depend on what settings you select.

    They should perform pretty close to the same, though.

    i would say that u either wait for a new laptop with ATI's 5000 series or get the one with 4650 with GDDR3...

    decent enough for daily gaming needs.
