I have been trying to get this card updated on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 running on my Dell SXPS 1640 and it's been a nightmare. The installs directly from ATI don't seem to be taking as they spit out errors and now seem to be overlapped. The ones that came on my disks lack performance and are older. Could someone PLEASE link me to the newest stable driver that will work in my version of windows and make my life easier? Thanks so much!

No one has any idea? I'm trying to play GTA IV and i'm getting a max of about 20 FPS's with things basically on medium to low. I have seen youtube videos of people using this same computer playing GTA IV at at least 30 FPS with almost everything on high. Somethings not right with these drivers.

Ati mobility hd 3670 isn't tht powerful. I don't think its your drivers, your card might be just weak. Correct me if im wrong please.

20FPS is not bad that is super playable especally on that card. Your card is a bit better than mines but still you wont be able to run GTAIV on high settings but it should run on meduim resoultion like 1024x 768 with some settings on high and get like 20fps or more but you wont get 30fps it shouldnt make a difference since GTAIV is a badly optimised game anyways

Well I just ran a 3DMark06 test with those drivers and got a WHOPPING.....3390 3D Marks..that's way too low for this computer so those drivers evidently are not good.

Yeah thats very low for that card you should try downloading and install the stock ATI drivers from the Dell site for your XPS model and then run 3Dmarks again or play GTAIV again see the result

Alright will do! I just installed the ATI drivers for the desktop version of the card and used the mobility modder to install them on this computer, I'll run 3DMark06 with those and see what that gives me, after I suppose I will try going back to basics as you suggested.

I just pulled 5001 3DMarks! Looks like the reinstall of the Windows 7 ATI mobile cards did the trick. That IS a good number to have for this computer right? GTA runs better but the issue doesn't lie in the constant frame rate but rather the spikes i'm seeing. The game will run nice and smooth for a few seconds and then it will hit a spike and stop and then start going again this happens constantly and makes an otherwise very playable framerate suffer. Anything that can be done about this? I'm not running it on high or anything.

I actually stumbled upon a download from a japanese website lol that I downloaded them from after I saw the guys broken english speaking about how it has full Windows 7 support and the file looked different. So I downloaded and installed and here we are now with 5001 3DMarks. If you PM me I can probably find the download again for you.

thanks but my friend says the 9.8 drivers are working ok for him, so I'll use those. Really only need to wait about 1.5 months and hopefully lenovo will have working switchable gfx drivers
