Hi everybody! I'm trying very desperately to overclock my Mobility Radeon HD 3650. I've looked over the forum topics here as well as multiple other forums across the net, and so far I've found solutions that relate to my GPU but do not seem to help me in my situation.

I've tried using just about every tool I could find, including RivaTuner, AMD GPU clock tool, along with the GPU-Z and ATI Tray tools to no avail. The first problem I started having was not having digital signatures for some of the programs I tried to use (most notable ATI Tray tool) since I'm running Windows 7 64bit. I've also tried changing the setitngs in Catalyst, since I read that changing the Powerplay option (or turning it off) sometimes could help, but it never has.

As I've said I've tried everything I possibly can and I'm at my wits end on the situation. I know that Sony, by default, has underclocked the GPU, and this is my main reason for wanting to overclock it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

The guys over at AMD kept telling me that it was not possible to overclock my computer (I have a Sony Vaio FW355J Intel Dual Core 2 Duo). Since I've seen posts before here that have confirmed the fact that this specific card has already been successfully OC'd, I just would like some solid confirmation, since you guys seem to know what you're doing :)

    Thanks in advance.

So? I know it is derived from the 8600M GT, i don't need everyone posts saying "it's an 8600M GT GDDR3". The point i was trying to make was that graphics cards don't need to be outdated if you don't want them to. It still performs fairly well for this day in age. Not quite as good as the 9600M GT actually, the 9600M GT has a memory clock of 1200 i think, i could only get mine to go up to 1055 memory, but every other clock was pushed to 9600M GT stock clocks.

I get 7k+ with my 9600gt... With my DIY vidock I get 9k+..., it depends on wich card you OC, What I meant to say is that an HD3650 DDR2 is very capable of gaming! I agree with you, you dont need the latest hardware just to play a game or two...
