    X1600 is way more powerful,because it has 128bit memory bus when the 8400GS has only 64bit...

    Yes, according to benchmarks, the x1600 is roughly 20% more powerful however the 8400m gs supports dx10 while the x1600 only supports dx9.

    Well yeah,it supports dx10,but will it ever be able to run smoothly a dx10 game? :rolleyes:

    The X1600 will be better. Only advantages the 8400M GS has is DX10 support (although probably too slow to play most DX10 games at a decent level) and PureVideoHD support, which is probably the more important advantage.

    Basically, if gaming is your main priority, the x1600 is your best choice but if you want to be future proof for HD video and dx10, the 8400m gs would be better.

    You say better HD support , do you mean as in HD videos will play more smoothly and look more "better"?

    It means that the video card will encode HD videos therefore reducing the processor workload and increasing the overall system performance.
