I'm not opening up a poll, but I just wanted input into whether people normally have the Catalyst Control Center running in the system tray while gaming/benching. Is it doing anything useful?

on my X1950GT I ran Catalyst Control Center & the overclocking tools, the CCC ( Catalyst Control Center) just sucks resources, and I disabled the overclocking tools (ATI Tray tools) after a while as well because I was tired of setting it and disabling it before, and after running a game.

Just update the drivers and run with less of that stuff until you need to configure something, then get rid of it again.

A max of 40mb of RAM is barely gonna affect your system at all
