So how good is this card ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with 128MB memory The Imac I want comes with this card and 2GiGs of ram. I mostly want this computer to do work browse the web video edit and photo edit but I do want to be able to run a few games on it such as world of warcraft on high settings and maybe madden 08 ^_^ So what do you guy's think does this card even compare to a NVIDIA 6000 series? or what would it be equivalent to?

I'm guessing that the HD 2400XT that Apple is using in the iMac is the desktop version. I actually haven't seen very many benchmarks with the HD 2400XT and those that I see usually just compare it to the 8500GT. The 8500GT is comparable, if a little slower, than the 7600GS and the X1650Pro (renamed X1600XT). The HD 2400XT is slower than the 8600GT, so I would estimate the desktop HD 2400XT as being comparable or probably a bit better than the 7300GT or X1300XT (renamed X1600Pro). That would likely put it around a vanilla desktop 6600 probably around the Mobility X1600 in laptop terms.

i dont know for sure but i think it has a 64-bit memory interface and will perform simmilarly to a go 6600 and absolutely not a 6600GT on a desktop that is for shure.
Ati has placed this card together with x2500 which is a crippled x1600 so performance is going to be slightly better than 8400 GS and below 8400GT

This card is not a performance card! but should handle low resolutions very well.

i m really curious about the imac, coz it does say that the processors run at 800Mhz FSB which make me think that it is laptop based.. can anyone confirm whether it is really desktop based.?? :D

Traditionally they're modified laptop cards, right?
