My notebook has an ATI RAdeon Mobility 9000 intergrated graphics with 32 mb of video memory. I'm trying to play Battlefield 2 but i need the video memory to be 128 mb. Is there anyway that I can change the amount of VRAM avaliable for the graphics chipset? My system RAM is 1 gb.

nope.the only way to get performance is by buying new one

No, integrated video cards are soldered directly onto the motherboard. Upgrading them is impossible.

You might be able to increase the RAM, it depends on which laptop you have. For example, the Toshiba A70 has the Radeon 9000 shares the memory with the main memory and default at 64MB. You can set it in the BIOS to 32MB or 128MB (only if you had 1GB of RAM installed).

Actually I do remember (I once had the misfortune to own an A70) that you can set the frame buffer from 32 all the way up to 128MB on the 9100 IGP; simply right-click on the desktop> Properties> Settings> Advanced
Sort through the tabs there, there could be a setting for the UMA frame buffer. -
it can't handle BF2, not even BF1942

Actually, my wife's recent Dell Latitude had a ATi 9000, and handled BF1942, Vietnam, CoD1, etc. just fine... (HL2 on all high, 800x600, DX8 wasn't bad, either)
