I think the 1200, but they're both very low end.

Actually, I have an nVidia GeForce Go 6100 in my Acer 9302 Laptop, and it has 256MB dedicated, and shares from my RAM too, so it has 751MB of memory, and it will run most games smoothly. F.E.A.R, FarCry, Need for Speed Carbon etc all run perfectly on max detail.

Uh, first I don't think the 6100 has any dedicated ram at all, but I could be wrong.

Yeah max detail, but what resolution 800*600? That's not exactly high settings.

Even if it were 6200 it wouldn't be possible. I think he is trolling. My 7900 GTX in my desktop had problems running FEAR smoothly at high settings.

I ran Far Cry at 1280x800 and mid settings on my Acer Aspire 5100 with Radeon Xpress 1100. But I wouldn't even think about running F.E.A.R.

FEAR is very demanding in terms of graphics. No way the mentioned video cards will run it even on low settings.

I ran FEAR Combat fine on low settings with an Intel X3100 - until someone actually tries the game on one of these cards I'll hold my breath. ;)

I have to agree, an 8600M GT only gets 30fps in FEAR at max settings at 1440*900. There's no way an x1200 will run it on max. Maybe minimum at 800*600 with 2GB ram.

hahah same here and i have the mid-low end the x1600 (64 bit)

im getting 10-20 FPS at max setting 1024x760
and not much of improvement when setting to medium 15-34FPs

    so same as IIIM3

i might also add that the gddr3 ati x1600(128 bit) have some trouble of running need for speed carbon at max average fps 20-25.
YOur card x1200 will perform similarly or worse than x300
and that is having trouble of running far cry at 1024x768 on medium settings

All of these i have seen or tested with very decent specs.

Even the 8400 GT or 2400 HD xT cant run those games at max and they are two generations younger and far superior cards

i have a desktop 6100 and idk y or how but I was getting about 70 fps on low settings at lowest res. but the game lagged too much because I have wireless on the desktop, and the connection drops when there is high throughput...and btw it only has 256 mb RAM.

To the OP: The x1200 is undoubtedly better, though both are poor choices for gaming. If you can, I'd highly recommend the x3100, or even a lower end dedicated card (as some of them are quite good with power savings these days).
I don't know about the mobile 6100, but I do know that the desktop 6150 and the mobile x1150 (or x1100, whichever one is in the e1501, I forget) will both run FEAR fine at lower settings and 1024x768 or lower res.

That would probably be the upper limit resoltuion on modern(ish) 3d games, as long as you're playing at low settings. For really recent games or upcoming ones, don't expect to be able to play at 1024x768, probably 800x600 will be your upper limit.

I'm pretty sure it can't play FEAR on high settings, no. It can play FEAR, but you'll have to go to low settings and resolution to get playable framerates.

Are you talking about the youtube video? I think that guys was faking it. And like odin said, It's highly unlikely a x200 can run fear at high settings. There's not a large difference between the desktop or laptop versions, if any.

i think the whole "playable" term is getting thrown around.

intel 945gm isn't going to run fear more than 30 fps
neither will a go 6100 nor x1200 on high settings. you may be able to get 30 fps on lower res and settings.

Because the original FEAR works fine
I checked on the Can You Run it? website and with the X1200 it even beats recommended settings

Post Screenshot... its impossible even if u overclock it & freeze the core with Liquid N2.

That card can play only NFS Prostreet at 800X600 with 30-50 fps at max.

I have a 6100 GeForce and can play games like Bioshock (Lowest settings, stable framerate) and Oblivion (Oldblivion) so it's not completely terrible.
